The Primo Toys team is still buzzing with energy after meeting with many of the 34,530 educators, school leaders and educational distributors who attended Bett 2017. Held in London since 1985, the British Educational Training and Technology (Bett) show brings together the best ideas, technology and people for an inspirational four days.
The mission for our Education Team at Bett was simple – spread the message that Cubetto develops creative approaches to problem-solving by encouraging crucial transferable skills such as teamwork and communication. Each day, throngs of educators from over 138 countries stopped by our stand, for demonstrations and creative discussions of how Cubetto has set a new standard for coding in early years.
We teamed up with creative individuals and Cubetto enthusiasts for our first ever speaker series. Daily talks included an illuminating walk-through of ‘The Evolution of Cubetto’ by Ben Callicott, our Head of Product; ‘The Power of Connected Learning’ by educator Susan Wells; and a thought-provoking argument that: ‘If it’s not cross-curricular, it’s not STEAM’.
Alongside the spirited talks schedule, our Education Team presented countless demonstrations and held stimulating conversations with everyone from classroom teachers to ministerial heads of several countries. It’s heartening to see the message resonating that Cubetto is a truly unique learning tool, lowering the barrier of access to coding for learners and teachers alike.
For the first time at Primo Toys we organised a Facebook Live stream, participated in Periscope with our colleagues TechTerra Education, and spoke in the Bett Futures event in the main arena.
Thanks to all those in the education community who took the time to meet with us at Bett – we look forward to continuing the relationships and helping you to bring programming to early years.
